Understand the marketplace
What is AssetPixels?
AssetPixels is a digital asset marketplace for stock images, 3D models, textures, mockups, bundles, and design resources. The goal is simple: help buyers preview, license, and download ready-to-use creative files with clear usage rights.
How does AssetPixels work?
Search or browse assets, open the preview, check the file formats and license, then download a free file or add a paid asset to your cart. After checkout, your order record and invoice are available from your account flow.
Are assets free or paid?
The catalog can contain both free and paid assets. Free files show a Free License and a direct download action. Paid files show the price, license, and checkout action before purchase.
What file types are available?
AssetPixels lists JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG, PSD, Figma, ZIP, GLB, GLTF, OBJ, and STL files. Each product card shows the exact formats included before payment or download.
Who can use AssetPixels?
AssetPixels is built for students, creators, designers, educators, makers, agencies, and businesses that need visual files for websites, presentations, product previews, social content, 3D workflows, and learning projects.
Buying & Downloading
Get files without confusion
How do I buy an asset?
Open the asset preview, review the license and file details, choose Add to Basket, then complete checkout. The order page shows the asset name, license, price, and invoice details before payment is finalized.
How do I download a free asset?
Free assets show a Download free action. Click it, review any license note shown on the product, and save the file. Free does not remove license restrictions; always follow the listed usage terms.
Where can I find my downloads?
Downloads and invoices are tied to your account and order flow. Keep your invoice and order confirmation as proof of purchase and license.
Can I re-download purchased assets?
Paid buyers can re-download purchased assets from their order history while the asset remains available. Purchase records remain tied to the account/order flow.
What happens after checkout?
After payment succeeds, the order page confirms payment, generates an invoice, and makes eligible digital downloads available after secure payment confirmation.
Why did my download fail?
Common reasons include an interrupted internet connection, expired session, blocked browser download, missing uploaded file, or payment not yet confirmed. Try again, then contact support with the order ID and asset name.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes. Paid orders generate an invoice showing the asset, license, buyer details, and payment total for business records and client reimbursement.
Licensing & Usage Rights
Know what is allowed before you use an asset
What license do AssetPixels assets use?
AssetPixels uses clear Free, Standard, and Extended license labels. The license shown on the product page and invoice controls how the asset can be used.
Can I use assets commercially?
Standard License assets can usually be used in websites, client work, social posts, ads, presentations, videos, and normal business projects. Extended License is for broader resale-heavy or merchandise-style uses.
Can I use assets in client work?
Yes, Standard License assets are intended for normal client work when the asset is used inside a finished design, campaign, website, video, or presentation. Do not pass the downloaded source file to a client for standalone reuse unless the license allows it.
Can I use assets in YouTube, videos, or social media?
Yes, Standard License assets can generally be used in videos, thumbnails, social posts, ads, and presentations as part of a finished project. Follow any asset-specific restrictions shown on the product page.
Can I use assets in merchandise or print-on-demand?
This usually needs an Extended License, especially when the asset is a major part of a product being sold. Standard License does not cover print-on-demand or merchandise where the asset itself drives the value.
Can I resell downloaded assets?
No. Buyers license usage rights; they do not buy copyright ownership. You cannot resell, redistribute, upload, or give away the downloaded asset as a standalone file.
What is not allowed?
Do not resell standalone files, claim creator ownership, use assets illegally, imply endorsement by people or brands, upload assets to competing marketplaces, or use files in a way that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, or safety rules.
Do I need to credit the creator?
Paid Standard and Extended assets normally do not require attribution unless the product page says otherwise. Free assets may have asset-specific attribution rules, so check the license label before use.
What is the difference between Standard and Extended License?
Standard License covers normal commercial projects. Extended License covers higher-risk uses such as merchandise, resale templates, print-on-demand, large campaigns, and products where the asset is central to what is being sold.

3D Model Help
Formats, textures, printability, and compatibility
What 3D file formats does AssetPixels support?
AssetPixels supports GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, ZIP, and texture folders. Product pages list every included format clearly before checkout.
What is the difference between GLB, OBJ, and STL?
GLB is useful for web, AR, and real-time previews because it can bundle model and material data. OBJ is widely supported in 3D software. STL is commonly used for 3D printing but usually does not include rich materials.
Can I use 3D models in Blender, Unity, Unreal, or web apps?
Usually yes when the listed file format is supported by your tool. GLB/GLTF works well for web and real-time workflows, OBJ is broadly compatible, and STL is best for printable geometry.
Are STL files 3D printable?
STL files are intended for 3D printing workflows, but printability depends on scale, wall thickness, model cleanup, and printer settings. Product details state whether the model is print-ready or design-preview ready.
Do 3D models include textures?
Some models include texture files and some do not. Check the format and details row for terms like PBR textures, 2K, 4K, baked textures, material files, or texture ZIP.
What does polygon count mean?
Polygon count describes model complexity. Low-poly models are lighter for games and web. High-poly models can look more detailed but may be heavier for real-time apps.
Why does a 3D model look different in my software?
Lighting, renderer, material setup, unit scale, and import settings can change how a model looks. Check included textures and compatibility notes before buying.
Can I request model corrections?
Contact support with the asset name, order ID, software used, screenshots, and the issue. Corrections depend on the file problem, license, and contributor availability.
Free Assets
Use free files with confidence
Are free assets really free?
Yes, free assets can be downloaded without payment. They still have a license, so read the usage rules before using the file commercially.
Can I use free assets commercially?
Some free assets can be used commercially, but limits may apply. Check whether the product page says Free License, attribution required, personal use, or commercial use allowed.
Do I need attribution for free assets?
Attribution is asset-specific. If an asset says attribution is required, credit the creator in a reasonable location near the work or in project credits.
Can I modify free assets?
Usually yes for normal design use, but modification does not let you resell or redistribute the original file as your own asset. Follow the asset-specific license.
Why are some assets free and some paid?
Free assets help buyers test quality and licensing. Paid assets support creators and usually include broader commercial usage, richer bundles, or more production-ready files.
Contributor Help
Upload clean assets and keep ownership of your work
How do I become a contributor?
Use the Contributor page to contact AssetPixels with your portfolio, asset types, and sample files. A proper contributor dashboard can later handle upload, metadata, pricing, and payout setup.
What can I upload?
Accepted asset types can include stock images, 3D models, textures, mockups, bundles, icon packs, templates, and other downloadable design resources.
What content is not allowed?
Do not upload stolen files, unsafe content, illegal material, misleading metadata, copyrighted brand assets without permission, low-quality files, or content that violates privacy or publicity rights.
Can I upload AI-generated content?
AI-generated or AI-assisted content must be disclosed clearly. Do not upload AI content that imitates protected brands, living artists, private people, or copyrighted works without permission.
Upload guidelines for images
Accepted images are high-resolution, sharp, well-composed, accurately titled, and free of unwanted logos or rights issues. Add useful tags, category, license, and preview details.
Upload guidelines for 3D models
3D uploads include clear preview images, accurate formats, units/scale notes, texture details, polygon count where available, and compatibility notes for tools like Blender, Unity, Unreal, and web viewers.
How does review and approval work?
Assets move through submitted, reviewed, approved, or rejected states. Review checks quality, metadata, licensing risk, file availability, previews, and category fit.
Why was my asset rejected?
Common reasons include low quality, missing metadata, unclear license, copyright risk, trademark issues, broken files, misleading preview, missing texture files, or duplicate content.
How do contributors get paid?
Contributors earn when customers license or download paid work. Payout rules define commission rate, minimum payout, payment method, tax setup, payout cycle, refunds, and chargeback handling.
How do I edit or remove my asset?
Use the admin/contributor dashboard to update title, description, price, license, preview, active status, or file details. Past buyer order records remain intact when an asset is removed from sale.
What metadata do I add?
Add a clear title, category, description, tags, format list, license type, price, preview image, creator name, AI disclosure where relevant, and compatibility details for 3D files.
Payments, Pricing & Refunds
Money questions answered plainly
How is asset pricing decided?
Pricing depends on asset type, quality, file complexity, license, bundle size, and commercial usage. Free assets are promotional or sample files; paid assets support creators and production work.
What payment methods are accepted?
Checkout supports the payment methods enabled for your region and account. Common options include cards, wallets, UPI, PayPal, Stripe, and Razorpay depending on the payment provider configuration.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for digital downloads are limited to duplicate payment, broken download, wrong file delivered, or materially inaccurate product description. See the refund policy for the exact process.
Why did my payment fail?
Payments can fail because of bank rejection, card limits, incorrect details, network timeout, payment gateway issues, or incomplete authentication. Try again or contact support with the transaction reference.
Where can I find my invoice?
Your invoice appears after successful checkout and remains available from your account or order history. Keep the invoice for business records and license proof.
What currency will I be charged in?
The storefront can display converted prices for global visitors, and the final payment currency depends on the payment provider and checkout configuration. The checkout page shows the final payable amount before payment.
Copyright, Takedowns & Safety
Protect creators, buyers, and rights owners
How do I report copyright infringement?
Email support@assetpixels.com with the asset URL, your rights claim, proof of ownership, contact details, and what action you want taken. Do not include sensitive identity documents unless support specifically asks for them through a secure process.
What happens after I report content?
AssetPixels reviews the report, preserves the asset record, contacts the contributor where appropriate, and removes or restricts content when the claim appears valid.
What if someone uploaded my asset?
Send the original work, publication link or creation proof, the AssetPixels asset link, and a short explanation. Valid rights-owner claims receive priority review.
Do contributors keep copyright?
Yes. Contributors keep copyright ownership unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Buyers receive a license to use the asset, not copyright ownership.
Can buyers claim ownership of downloaded assets?
No. Buyers can use assets under the purchased license, but they cannot claim they created the original file or register the standalone asset as their exclusive property.
Model/property release policy
Images or 3D scans involving recognizable people, private property, trademarks, or sensitive locations may require releases or special restrictions. Product pages disclose release status where relevant.
Account & Order Management
Manage access and records
How do I create an account?
Use Sign in, then Register. Use a real email address so order records, invoices, and future download access can be linked to your account.
How do I reset my password?
Use the password reset flow when it is available. Contact support if you cannot access your account.
How do I change my email?
Email changes require sign-in and verification of the new address. This protects order history and download access.
How do I delete my account?
Contact support with your account email. Account deletion preserves legally required invoice/order records while removing or anonymizing unnecessary personal profile data.
Where is my order history?
Order history lives inside your account area and shows purchased assets, invoices, license type, and download access where available.
How do I manage my wishlist?
Use the heart button on product cards or preview windows to save assets. Open the wishlist from the header to review saved assets and add them to your cart later.
